I have PM cape & riding habit (quite old--from like 1992). The cape is definitely raw edged all the way around. The riding habit is on the sleeves (but the edge is turned up with those little grommet thingies) and the collar. I can't remember if it is raw on the hem of the jacket or not, it is put away in her trunk right now. They still look just as good as when I got them (& I did actually play with them for a while, I was a pre-teen though, so accordingly careful). The only thing that didn't fare well was the feather on the hat. It totally disintegrated.
